Waggy Wonderland – Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending Waggy Wonderland, all visitors agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. They are in place to ensure the safety, welfare and enjoyment of all visitors, animals, traders, volunteers and staff.

  1. General Admission

All visitors attend Waggy Wonderland at their own risk.

Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organiser.

The organiser reserves the right to amend the event programme, attractions or timings without prior notice.

  1. Animal Welfare

The welfare of all animals is our highest priority.

Owners are solely responsible for the health, welfare and behaviour of their animal(s) throughout the event.

All pets must be fit, healthy and comfortable around other animals and members of the public.

Pets displaying signs of illness, injury, excessive stress or distress must not attend.

Puppies should have received appropriate vaccinations before attending.

Owners should ensure their animals have access to fresh drinking water, regular comfort breaks and are not left unattended at any time.

  1. Dog Behaviour & Control

Aggressive, excessively nervous or uncontrollable pets are not permitted to attend Waggy Wonderland.

Any pet displaying aggressive, threatening or dangerous behaviour towards people or other animals may be refused entry or asked to leave immediately.

All dogs must remain on a secure lead at all times unless instructed otherwise by an authorised member of the event team during a designated enclosed activity.

Retractable leads should be kept short in busy areas.

Owners must maintain control of their dog at all times.

The decision of event staff regarding a pets suitability to remain at the event is final.

No refunds will be issued where entry is refused or visitors are asked to leave due to their dog’s behaviour.

  1. Restricted Breeds

Any dog legally required to wear a muzzle under current legislation must remain securely muzzled at all times whilst attending the event.

Owners are responsible for ensuring they comply with all applicable UK and Scottish legislation relating to restricted or exempted dogs.

Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the event.

  1. Other Pets

Small animals, including cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and similar pets, are welcome.

These animals must remain securely contained within a suitable carrier or cage at all times, except during their allocated Santa photo session.

Owners are responsible for ensuring carriers are secure and appropriate for the welfare of their pet.

  1. Children & Animal Interaction

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.

Children must only approach or interact with unfamiliar dogs with the owner’s permission.

Children must not disturb animals whilst they are eating, resting or being handled by their owner.

Event staff reserve the right to intervene if they believe an interaction between a child and an animal presents a safety or welfare risk.

Waggy Wonderland accepts no responsibility for injuries resulting from inappropriate interactions between children and animals.

  1. Dog Incidents

Owners are solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused by their animal.

In the event of a dog bite, dog fight, escaped dog or any other animal-related incident, owners must immediately notify a member of the event team.

Event staff may intervene to separate animals, request owners leave the event, contact veterinary or emergency services where necessary, and complete an incident report.

Any dog involved in a serious bite or repeated aggressive behaviour will be required to leave the event immediately.

Owners must cooperate fully with event staff following any incident.

  1. Escaped Dogs

Should a dog escape, owners must immediately notify a member of the event team.

Owners must follow all instructions given by event staff to safely recover the animal.

Owners remain responsible for any injury, loss, damage or disruption caused by their escaped dog.

  1. Cleaning Up

Owners must immediately clean up after their animals.

Waste bins will be provided throughout the venue.

Failure to clean up after a pet may result in removal from the event.

  1. Photography & Filming

Photography and filming will take place throughout the event.

By attending, visitors consent to photographs and video footage featuring themselves and their pets being used by Ayr Racecourse and Waggy Wonderland for promotional and marketing purposes.

Visitors who do not wish to appear in photographs or video should notify a member of staff upon arrival.

  1. Liability

Owners accept full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage caused by their animal.

The organiser accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss, theft or damage to persons, animals or personal belongings except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

  1. Event Rules

All visitors must:

Follow all instructions given by event staff, stewards and volunteers.

Treat fellow visitors, traders, volunteers and staff with courtesy and respect.

Treat all animals kindly and responsibly.

Not leave any animal unattended.

Ensure their pet’s welfare is maintained throughout the event.

  1. Right to Refuse Entry

The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any visitor or animal whose behaviour is considered unsafe, disruptive, abusive, intoxicated, unlawful or likely to negatively affect the safety, welfare or enjoyment of others. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

  1. Weather

Waggy Wonderland will proceed in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe by the organiser. Visitors should dress appropriately and ensure their animals are adequately protected from the weather.

  1. Emergency Procedures

In the event of an emergency, all visitors must immediately follow the instructions of event staff, stewards or emergency services. Failure to do so may result in removal from the event.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending Waggy Wonderland, visitors confirm that they have read, understood and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry or removal from the event without refund.
