Owners & Trainers

Ayr Racecourse is committed to providing a superior level of customer service to Owners and Trainers.

We are pleased and excited to be able to welcome owners back with the ability to offer a much more extensive raceday experience in line with Government guidelines.

We are delighted to be able to welcome owners back to Western House Hotel for a two course meal prior to watching your horse run.

To enable us to comply with Government requirements and ensure that all of the appropriate arrangements are in place, you must provide us with the details of those who will be attending. Badges for you and your guests are now available to allocate - please visit www.RCAPASS.com by no later than 4pm on the day before the race meeting to see the number of badges available to you and to provide the required details for attendance.. A simple step-by step guide to using the system is available from the RCA Website. If you do not have access to the PASS System or need any assistance in its use, please contact the PASS Helpdesk on 01933 270333 or pass@weatherbys.co.uk.

The new measures on course will include:

  • A maximum of four owners per horse who will each be entitled to a complimentary meal served in Western House between 12:00 and 15:00. Unused badges must not be passed on.
  • Please note owing to current restrictions additional owners lunches cannot be purchased
  • There will be a dedicated Owners and Trainers area in the Chancellor Restaurant on the first floor of the Princess Royal Stand.

  • All owners and their guests should continue to observe social distancing guidelines. It is mandatory for everyone to wear face coverings at all times on the racecourse when indoors or in equine areas such as the Parade Ring (if not eating or drinking) unless you are medically exempt

You will have received information from the BHA outlining the procedures in place on the racecourse as an owner. These procedures and protocols also apply to your guests or anyone representing you on the day.

Owners on course will have access to the Amber Zone, which will be separated from raceday workers (jockeys, valets, BHA Officials, Medical Personnel, identified Racecourse staff etc) who have undergone a more rigorous health screening process. For infection control purposes, Amber Zone attendees must not enter the Green Zone areas.

To avoid delays please follow the below:

With many years experience as a Racehorse owner, I am constantly impressed with the effort and expediency with which the team at Ayr work to ensure that the race track is produced to the highest standard possible. Welfare of horses and jockeys is obviously paramount in their priorities. This, coupled with first class hospitality, is why we remain long-standing Sponsors and supporters of Ayr.
