Ayr Racecourse is delighted to announce that Ladbrokes are to become the sponsors of the 3-day Ayr Gold Cup Festival which will be held this year between Thursday September 18 and Saturday September 20.
The sponsorship will run from this year, 2025 until 2027.
The £180,000 Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup will be the highlight of the third day’s card with Ladbrokes also sponsoring the £65,000 Ayr Silver Cup on the Saturday and the £35,000 Ayr Bronze Cup on the Friday card, the middle day of the meeting.
The Silver Cup was introduced in 1992 with the Bronze Cup starting in 2009 and both races have become seasonal targets in their own rights.
Ladbrokes’ Head of PR Alex Apati said:
“We are delighted to be sponsoring one of the UK’s most iconic Flat festivals and a staple of the Scottish racing calendar. Punters will be treated to a feast of top quality racing over three days in September and it’s a special moment in our history to be playing such a key role this year.”
Ayr Racecourse Managing Director David Brown added:
“It’s absolutely fantastic for a race as prestigious and talked about as the Ayr Gold Cup to have such a high-profile sponsor as Ladbrokes and we’re looking forward immensely to working closely with the new sponsors’ team on the build up to one of the biggest events in the entire racing calendar.”
