RACING on the Flat will resume at Ayr racecourse on Tuesday May 5 with the first of 16 days racing to be staged throughout the summer and early autumn before jumping resumes on Saturday October 31.

The opening Spring Raceday will be followed by racing on Wednesday May 20 before a massive weekend of racing and football on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20.

Our Friday evening fixture on June 19 coincides with Scotland’s SECOND match of the 2026 World Cup in USA against Morocco and once a great night’s racing concludes, we’ll have Ayrshire’s biggest Fan Zone in the racecourse to watch the big game (kick-off 11pm) with advance tickets on sale now at £5.

Come racing that night and stay for the football – and – if you can stand even more sporting excitement, we’re racing again on Saturday afternoon with the Unite Scotland Summer Raceday.

We’re also racing here at Ayr on every Monday afternoon in July and the first of 5 meetings that month will be our Family Sunday Raceday on July 5 before the first of those 4 consecutive Monday meetings on July 6.

Racing returns in August with our Sounds Of Summer Racenight on Saturday August 8, quickly followed by an always popular card on Monday August 10 and, straight after that day’s racing finishes, our award-winning groundstaff will be starting to prepare the track for the 3-day Ladbrokes Ayr Gold Cup Festival which is staged on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September 17, 18 and 19.

Trainer Richard Spencer, jockey George Wood and owner Phil Cunningham recorded a historic Gold Cup and Silver Cup double last year with Run Boy Run at 12/1 and Candy at 8/1 and this year’s big meeting will be followed by two more days of Flat racing on Tuesday September 29 and Thursday October 8.
