The BHA has allocated an extra jumps fixture to Ayr next Wednesday, December 20, following the recent spate of abandonments due to the weather.

Ayr itself has already lost two fixtures which were scheduled for Wednesday, November 15 and Monday, December 4.

The new Wednesday meeting will consist of 7 races with a first-race start time of 11.50am.

The feature race on a card comprising 4 hurdles, 2 chases and a mares’ National Hunt flat race will be a Class 3 Novices’ Handicap Chase over 2 miles worth £14,950.

There are 2 other jumps meetings on in Britain that day at Newbury and Ludlow.

Ayr’s next fixture after Wednesday, December 20 will be the Golf Inn Prestwick New Year’s Raceday on Tuesday, January 2 with our next meeting after that scheduled for Monday January 8.
