Start the Year as You Mean to Go On
Saturday racing. Seven exciting races. Street party vibes. Live entertainment 🎉

Kick off the first weekend of the year in style at the Golf Inn Prestwick New Year Raceday and join us for a brilliant Saturday out at Ayr Racecourse.

With seven exciting races on the card, there’s plenty to keep you entertained on the track, while the party atmosphere continues throughout the day with live entertainment from the McDonald Brothers between races.

A traditional fixture in the Ayr calendar, the New Year Raceday brings together terrific jumps racing and a fantastic party atmosphere, making it the perfect way to round off the festive period and start the new year with a bang.

The feature race is the Golf Inn Prestwick Handicap Hurdle, run over three miles for the prestigious Ayr Stayers Hurdle Trophy. Ten runners went to post in 2026, and another exciting renewal awaits.

Whether you’re joining us with friends, family or colleagues, expect great racing, live music, plenty of atmosphere and those all-important Instagram-worthy moments.

With a range of hospitality packages available, there’s something for everyone.

Make a date of it, start the year as you mean to go on and make Saturday your first big day out of 2027.
