Ayr Racecourse works closely with Racing to School and the DYW project which focuses on developing young people for the workforce.

This work has developed a lasting partnership with Loudoun Academy, in which students from the Academy visited us for a practical day of learning during a Raceday. During their visit they toured the stables, parade ring, weighing room, hospitality facilities and the track where they learnt how to find out the going and what it takes to maintain a racetrack.

After the tour they watched the remaining races from a Private Box, offering a well-rounded experience from both a working and consumers point of view. A day truly enjoyed by all and a project which will continue to flourish, so keep your eyes peeled for our latest updates.
