Benny The Bear to land Unison's Ayrshire & Arran Health Branch
Handicap.
The horse, sent off at 11/2 was given an enterprising ride from
apprentice jockey Shane B Kelly who made all and then kicked clear
to win by three lengths from Music Festival. It was Linda's eighth
success at the Craigie track this season.
It was a good night all round for Scottish trainers with Jim
Goldie saddling a double - All For You (8/1) in the Champagne GH
Mumm Rose Handicap with Gary Bartley riding and the well
backed Circus Clown (evens fav), with Shane B Kelly in the plate,
in McKenzie Hair Studio 10th Anniversary Handicap.
And to round off the Tartan success story Ian Semple's Blues
Jazz won the opening race the jockeyjan.co.uk Jan Wilson Memorial
Apprentice Handicap. Ridden by George Chaloner, the 11/2 chance won
by three quarters of a length from Blown It.
Other winners on the night included a Danny Tudhope ridden
double on Invincible Hero (7/2 jt fav) in the Gas Sure & James
Frew 100 Year Handicap for trainer Declan Carroll and Nafa ( 13/2)
for Michael Mullineaux in the Champagne GH Mumm Cordon Rouge
