Fixture Overview

Today’s racing is top notch with three of the most prestigious races of the Flat season being contested.

The glamour returns as we welcome back Ladies Day at the 2021 Ayr Gold Cup Festival... as always with you can expect style in abundance, top class racing and of course an unforgettable Ladies Day!

The EBF Stallions Harry Rosebery Stakes, The Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies’ Stakes, both Listed Races and the Ayr Bronze Cup take centre stage during the Afternoon’s racing. With there being a sub plot to proceedings last year when the aptly named Exceptional won the Arran Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies’ Stakes giving former two-time champion jockey Paul Hanagan his 100th Ayr winner.

And on a day that is traditionally a Ladies Day one girl smiling from ear to ear was jockey Faye McManoman who rode Roundhay Park to win the Ayr Bronze Cup.

Don’t forget Ladies Day marks the day of our Best Dressed Awards with top prizes up for grabs...

There will be spotters out and about amongst the crowd including our hospitality facilities looking for those best dressed Ladies and Gents, so go on make an effort, strike a pose and keep an eye out for our spotters!

With many years experience as a Racehorse owner, I am constantly impressed with the effort and expediency with which the team at Ayr work to ensure that the race track is produced to the highest standard possible. Welfare of horses and jockeys is obviously paramount in their priorities. This, coupled with first class hospitality, is why we remain long-standing Sponsors and supporters of Ayr.
