The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup, the most prestigious trophy in Scottish Flat racing is touring South Lanarkshire this weekend visiting venues in Hamilton, Blantyre and Bothwell.
The famous Gold Cup will be on show in Marvix, Quarry Street, Hamilton from 1pm – 2.30pm today (Friday) before going to Carrigans in Birkhill Road in the town from 3pm -4pm.
The next stop is Carrigans in Broompark Road, Blantyre from 4.30pm – 6pm and then the Camphill Vaults in Bothwell from 6.30pm – 8pm.
The tour continues tomorrow (Saturday) with the Gold Cup heading to the Priory Inn, Stonefield Road, Blantyre from 1pm – 2.30pm before moving to the Parkville Hotel in Glasgow Road from 3pm -4.30pm.
It’s back to Hamilton in the evening where it will on display in the Manhattan Bar in Quarry Street from 5pm -6.30pm before ending the tour at the Peacock & Ivy IN Burnbank Road from 6.30pm – 8pm.
There will be opportunities to have pictures taken with the Gold Cup which will be run for at Ayr Racecourse on Saturday September 21.
