The penultimate Flat meeting of 2017 at Ayr, the seven race William Hill Raceday takes place today (Tuesday) with the races being staged on the hurdles track.
The opening race is The William Hill Bet Boost Nursery Handicap over a mile and Carluke trainer Keith Dalgleish saddles three in the race – top weight Here In The Dark, Cuillin Hills and Lil Gem.
The feature race on the card is the £14,000 William Hill Proud To Support Scottish Sport Handicap over a mile. Several course and distance winners are in the field including Royal Regent from the Lucy Normile yard and Karl Burke’s Jay Kay.
There are two divisions of the one mile apprentice handicap at 5.05 pm and 5.35 pm to conclude the card.
The going at the track is soft, heavy in places.
