And the first Listed race on the Flat north of the border this year the Land O’Burns Fillies Stakes is the feature and has attracted 16 entries.
These include John Quinn’s three year-old Keep Busy whose dam Look Busy won the race in 2008 and in doing so recorded the course record for five furlongs of 55.68 seconds which stands to this day.
Other entries include American Lady from the Fozzy Stack stable in Ireland and this yard won the race with Sugar Free in 2009. Keith Dalgleish hopes to keep the prize in Scotland and has Ventura Flame entered while Karl Burke could run Lady In France the winner of the Al Maktoum Cup Listed race at the track last September.
The main supporting contest is the Class 2 Ardrossan Handicap over 1m 2f and course specialist Nicholas T is an eye catching entry here for trainer Jim Goldie.
