A busy weekend kicks off at Ayr Racecourse tonight with Ayrshire Magazine Noughties Night followed by tomorrow’s Scottish Sun Raceday.
Tonight’s seven race card features The AM The Members Card Handicap run over six furlongs with eight runners going to post in what looks a very competitive contest.
The in-form Richard Fahey yard run Gin InThe Inn with stable apprentice Connor Murtagh riding while three time course winner Dark Defender takes his chance for trainer Keith Dalgleish and jockey Rowan Scott.
Another horse with good course form is the Mike Smith trained Gworn who runs in the AM Subscribe To Ayrshire Magazine Handicap with PJ McDonald riding and he takes on stablemate Pudding Chare a winner at the track last month.
Linda Perratt is without a winner so far this season but that could change tonight when she saddles Lucky Violet in the final race on the card, the AM Ayrshire Magazine Handicap over seven furlongs . This filly has been running well and could come good this evening.
Tomorrow (Saturday’s) meeting carries £170,000 in prize-money and is headlined by the £50,000 Scottish Sun/British Stallion Studs EBF Land O’Burns Fillies Stakes, Listed Race over five furlongs.
