We are delighted to be welcoming spectators back to Ayr Racecourse.

We know this is a challenging and ever-changing time, so here is a rundown of everything you need to know to keep yourself, fellow spectators and staff safe.

If you have any COVID 19 symptoms please do not attend and book a test immediately.

We kindly ask that all racegoers complete a negative lateral flow test before attending a raceday regardless of vaccination status to keep yourself, fellow racegoers and staff safe.

During the ever changing situation, to provide reassurance when booking, any customer who purchases a ticket for a future fixture will be entitled to either a transfer or obtain a full refund in the event it is cancelled. If a customer is required by law to be in self isolation at the time of the event and can provide the relevant proof, they will also be entitled to a transfer or refund. Please note that Ayr Racecourse also reserves the right to transfer, refund or upgrade you at any point based on any specific capacity restrictions and zoning protocols.

RETURNING TO THE RACECOURSE - FAQ’s

Will I receive my tickets through the post?
Yes tickets will be sent by post approximately 2 week before the raceday. If a booking I made within 3 days of the fixture, your ticket(s) will be left for collection.

Where can I park?
Car parking is available to all as normal in the public car park between the Racecourse and Tesco.

When will the gates open?
Gates will open approximately 2 hours before the first race. Please see each fixture page for further information.

Will I get a refund if the event is cancelled?
Yes, if any customer who purchases a ticket for a future fixture will be entitled to either a transfer or obtain a full refund in the event it is cancelled.

Will Racecards be available?
Racecards will be available to purchase on course.

Do I get a refund if I have to self-isolate?
If a customer is required by law to be in self isolation at the time of the event and can provide the relevant proof, they will also be entitled to a transfer or refund.

Do you offer concession tickets?
Concession receive £5 off full priced tickets, and can be booked online or over the phone. Please note concession tickets are not available for the Saturday or the Coral Scottish Grand National or Ayr Gold Cup Festival.

Safety Measures while Visiting

For your safety and the safety of others, please make sure to observe the following whilst at our Racecourse:

  • Where possible, please travel to the racecourse in private transport.
  • Do not travel to the racecourse if you have any Covid-19 symptoms as entry will be denied.
  • Observe all social distancing protocols at all times, whether inside or outside the racecourse.
  • Please comply with any health checks that may be required on entering the racecourse. Please arrive in good time to go through the necessary entry procedures
  • Be aware, your temperature may be taken on entry.
  • Familiarise yourself with your entry point [entry time] and location of amenities within the racecourse
  • Please ensure food and beverage is consumed within the designated areas at the racecourse, such as your table or seat.
  • Some racecourses may choose to operate a cashless event. On-course bookmakers/pool betting operators may accept cash.
  • Please use only the designated smoking areas on-course for cigarettes and e-cigarettes. [for racecourses with designated smoking areas]
  • Regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and avoid touching your face and dispose of any used tissues appropriately.
  • Do not remove hand sanitizer or other personal hygiene products from their locations.
  • Do not congregate in specific areas of the racecourse (for example, along the rail or by the Winning Post).
  • Make sure all walkways, corridors and doorways etc are clear before you walk through.
  • Avoid face to face contact with other spectators and avoid hugs, high fives and any contact with people not in your social bubble.
  • Follow all signage and the instructions of staff, officials or any emergency service personnel present at the racecourse.
  • Do not try to access areas of the racecourse apart the area detailed on your ticket.
  • Make sure other members of your group have read and understood these guidelines.
