The Cheltenham Festival looms on jump racing’s horizon in the coming few weeks but there are plenty of other horses to be catered for and this card 12 months ago saw 6 of the 7 races won by Scottish trainers.
One of the highlights was a chase success for the highly-rated Lucinda Russell trained grey Traprain Law and the only non-Scottish trained winner on the card was the Larne-trained, Blue D’Enfer, which won the maiden hurdle for regular Ayr raider Stuart Crawford.
