Stable Manager
Full time Position
37.5 hours
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as Stable Manager at Ayr Racecourse, one of Scotland’s leading sporting venues.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and would suit someone with previous yard experience who is looking for a change. Full training will be provided.
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing and managing the stable yard for racedays, ensuring full compliance with British Horseracing Authority (BHA) Rules and Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the stables for racing
- Maintenance and general upkeep of the stable yard
- Record keeping of the cleaning regime, as required by the BHA
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
The Ideal Candidate
- A positive and motivated attitude
- Experience or a strong interest in horses and/or horse racing
- Enjoys working outdoors
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Good knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
Qualifications
- Previous equine experience is preferred but not essential
