The highlight of the flat reacing season in Scotland - the world
famous William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival gets under way.
The opening day features seven races with a maiden race for two
year olds kicking off the action.
Feature race is the Williamhill.com Hnadicap for the Kilkerran
Cup over 1 mile 2 furlongs and this produced a great race in 2011
won by Scrapper Smith.
The first of three fabulous days and there's entrtainment in the
Horseshoe Bar after racing.
