The final day of Scotland's principal flat meeting of the season
and for the first time this season all three sprints - the William
Hill Ayr Gold Cup, Silver Cup and Bronze Cup will be run on the
same day.
What a thrilling prospect - three races featuring up to 27
runners in each hurtling down the famous 6 furlong home straight at
Ayr.
The Gold Cup, Europe's richest sprint handicap, with £120,000 in
prize money, is the centrepiece and has produced some worthy
winners over the years.
Other valuable races on the Saturday include the
williamhill.com Doonside Cup and the Laundry Cottage Stud Firth Of
Clyde Stakes.
After racing there will be top entertainment in both the
Ayrshire Suite and Horseshoe Bar for approximately three hours.
