THERE are seven races at Ayr tomorrow (Saturday) when QTS Ladies Night takes centre stage.
A crowd of more than 6,000 is expected to head to the track and the action gets under way at 5.40 pm with the QTS Women In Engineering Handicap, a race that features lady riders only.
Carol Bartley, a leading amateur jockey for many years rides Latin Rebel for trainer Jim Goldie while Emma Sayer gets the mount on Great Demeanour for her mother Dianne.
The feature race is the QTS ladies’ Night Grand Spectacular Handicap over five furlongs at 7.40 pm and Fergal Lynch will be in the saddle on another Goldie runner, the course specialist Classy Anne.
There’s a Fashion Show before racing compered by former Miss Scotland Jennifer Reoch presenter of the Riverside Show on STV.
And spotters will be out and about to pick the best dressed ladies who will then take part in a series of heats on the Catwalk during the evening where a guest panel of judges will select the girls who will win a coin and a place in William Hill Ladies Day final on September 18 when some terrific prizes can be won.
After racing there are live bands in both the Club and Grandstand.
