AYR Racecourse will stage 34 fixtures in 2016, an increase of four from this year and the highest number of fixtures of any course in Scotland.
There will be 19 flat meetings with 15 over the jumps and an additional fixture in December means the track will stage five National Hunt fixtures between October 2016 and the end of the year.
Additional evening meetings have been added on Friday June 17 and Monday August 15 and a Monday afternoon fixture has been added on February 1.
The Coral Scottish Grand National Festival will be held on Friday April 15 and Saturday April 16 with the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival running from Thursday September 15 until Saturday September 17.
Ayr Managing Director David Brown commented : “This is a significant increase to our fixture list and one that we welcome.
“We race every month of the year and provide an exciting mix of flat and jumps fixtures. I am sure the additional jumps fixtures will be welcomed by trainers in the north who support the course.”
