AYR Racecourse stages Summer Sizzler Raceday on Monday with an exciting seven race card in prospect.
The opening contest, the racinguk.com Novice Stakes over six furlongs for two year-olds could see Simon Crisford try for another winner at the track with Well Suited having been successful on Monday with Century Dream. This colt was just pipped on his only racecourse start at Wolverhampton two weeks ago.
This stable also has Discreet Hero, a winner at York last year, entered in the feature Finest Collection of Racing On Racing UK Handicap at 3.05 pm in which recent course winner Dark Defender, from the Keith Dalgleish yard, also holds an entry.
Irish trainer John McConnell has entered last Monday’s winner Lucent Dream in the Racing UK Handicap over one mile two furlongs at 4.40 pm but he won’t have it all his own way though as there are a host of previous course winners in this including Mike Smith’s Gworn, Testa Rossa from the Jim Goldie yard and Lucy Normile’s Royal Regent.
The afternoon concludes with The Racing UK Profits Returned To Racing Apprentice Handicap at 5.10 pm.
The first race is 1.55 pm with gates open at 11.55 am.
