Fixture Overview

The Coral Scottish Grand National Festival 2018 gets under way with glamour, glitz and excitement – all the ingredients that make Ladies Day so special.

There’s some terrific racing throughout the afternoon with the centrepiece the £50,000 Class 1 Listed Hillhouse Quarry Handicap Chase, a contest that carries the longest running sponsorship of any at the track.

This is always a well contested affair and last year’s race was won by Two Taffs from the Dan Skelton yard and ridden by Davy Russell who stayed on well to beat the Nicky Henderson trained Theinval.

A race that regularly attracts horses from many of the leading national hunt stables the Hillhouse Quarry Chase is synonymous with the opening day of this great Festival.

Among the other racing highlights is the Mares Handicap Hurdle over three miles and a half a furlong a staying race that also carries a healthy prize.

The Best Dressed Lady on Ladies Day will win a fabulous prize so girls dress to impress and enjoy a super glam day out at the races !

Before, during and after racing there is superb entertainment and a top covers band will play in the Club Stand for three hours after the last race with a dj in the Ayrshire Suite within the Grandstand.

Book now and enjoy a full on action packed glamorous day at the races !

The team at Ayr are dynamic and efficient and nothing is left to chance when it comes to fulfilling the needs of the sponsor. The corporate hospitality is of the highest quality with varied menus prepared beautifully and delivered with a friendly and professional service.
