WATERAID LADIES NIGHT IS THE SOCIAL EVENT OF THE YEAR
THE biggest, best and most glamorous social event of the year -
WaterAid Ladies Night at Ayr Racecourse will be held again at the
Craigie track on Saturday August 11. Ladies young and old look out
their most glamorous outfits and head to the Racecourse to join in
the fun and give themselves a chance of winning a fabulous prize. A
crowd of around 7,500 is expected and the prizes on offer are the
best in the UK and up to eight ladies attending the event on August
11 will win a silver coin which guarantees them a place in Ladies
Day Final at Ayr on Friday September 21. That day 28 ladies will
each have a coin and then draw a number out of a hat. The number
will correspond to the number of a runner in the totesport Ayr
Silver Cup and the holder of the horse that wins or is placed
second or third will land a fabulous prize. This year's star
prize is a silver metallic Audi A3 1.6 sports finished in black
leather courtesy of the Ingram Motoring Group.
Alex Ingram, Chairman of the Ingram Motoring Group, who are
providing the star prize for the third successive year, "We
are proud to be associated with Ayr Racecourse and the Ladies Day
competition. We feel things are really happening here and every
year crowds are growing at the various Ladies events. "Its
important to the town that Ayr has a successful Racecourse and that
is certainly the case now." Runners up prize is a perfect
diamond valued at £2,500 courtesy of Oghams of Ayr and
Edinburgh and third prize is a luxury trip for two to Dubai for
three nights courtesy of Stewart Travel.
Judges mingle with the crowd on WaterAid Ladies Night and will
award up to eight coins to the ladies judged to be the best
dressed. That coin gives the holder the chance to win big. But
don't worry if you don't come away from Ladies Night with a
silver coin - there will still be two more chances to grab one at
the meetings on Thursday September 20 and on September 21 but you
will have to be early. Great news for Ladies planning to attend
WaterAid Ladies Night is that the Ayr Racecourse Executive are
offering £5 off the £20 club ticket for the night to all
ladies who book seven or more days in advance.

10 % discount for single bookings or 20 % for parties of 20 or
more. Both offers are subject to bookings being made seven or more
days in advance.
Ayr Racecourse Marketing Manager Lindsey Smith said : "We

First race on August 11 is at 5.50 pm and gates open at 4.00 pm.
