ST SAVARIN CARRIES FAHEY'S HOPES IN AYR FEATURE
AYR Racecourse stages a seven race card today (Thursday) just 12 days after the end of the totesport Ayr Gold Cup Festival.
And while the quality may not be the same as the feast of racing on Gold Cup Saturday the action should still be of a competitive nature.
The feature event is the Christmas Parties At PR Suite Handicap over one mile five furlongs with the Richard Fahey-Paul Hanagan combination likely to be represented by St Savarin while course specialist Let's Roll from the Chris Thornton stable will be attempting to win at Ayr for the fourth time.
Elsewhere Linda Perratt, who saddled her seventh winner of the season courtesy of Oeuf A La Neige at Musselburgh on Sunday, could have the right conditions at last for Seafield Towers in the Weddings At Western House Handicap over five furlongs.
The Dawn Group Handicap over six furlongs at 5.05 pm is a tricky affair with Jim Goldie's Lambency (Gary Bartley) having as good a chance as any.
First race is at 2.20 pm with bars and restaurants open at 12.20 pm and the last race comes under starter's orders at 5.40 pm.
