FESTIVE FUN OVER THE JUMPS AT AYR
THE second December meeting at Ayr
Racecourse will be held on Monday December 17 with a great
day's racing in prospect.
The seven race card features the Dawn Developments Chase at 1.30 pm
and there could be a quick reappearance for last week's Ayr
winner Lampion du Bost, owned by former Rangers players Billy Dodds
and Craig Moore.
The gelding is being aimed at the John Smith's Grand National
at Aintree next April and needs a hike up the weights to ensure
entry so trainer Jim Goldie will be looking for as many wins as
possible.
There is also a tasty looking race in the Princess Royal Conference
Centre Beginners Chase over two miles for horses who have not yet
won a chase which will attract some of the north's most
exciting chasing prospects.
There will be a festive theme running through the various bars and
restaurants and the course will open at 11.00 am. For more
