Casino Boost For Clic Sargent Funds

THE wheel of fortune swung in favour of Clic Sargent this week when the charity landed a £1,334 cheque courtesy of Ayr Racecourse.

The money was the proceeds from the hugely successful casino held during the Christmas Party Nights in the Princess Royal Suite last December.

May Gilchrist, Community Fundraising Manager at Malcolm Sargent House in Prestwick accepted the cheque on behalf of the Charity.

May said : "I am delighted to receive this cheque from the Racecourse and would like to thank all the staff at the Princess Royal Suite and the Christmas Party Night guests who made this possible. Its not often you walk away from a Racecourse with a handsome profit !."

William Gorol, General Manager of Ayr Racecourse added : "It is always pleasing to be able to help a local charity and there is no doubt Clic Sargent is a very deserving cause."

More than 10,000 people attended the Christmas Party Nights at the Princess Royal Suite in 2006 and already bookings are approaching that for this year.
