Linda's first winner of the season came courtesy of Saxonette in the Download The Blue Square App Handicap over five furlongs, a day after finishing down the field in a six furlong race at the track.

PJ McDonald always had the filly handy and she readily quickened under PJ McDonald to win by four lengths from Rylee Moch at odds of 11/4 joint favourite.

Shunkawakhan (13/2) provided Linda with her second winner of the afternoon in the See Stacey Solomon Here On 17 June Handicap. Experienced jockey Joe Fanning had his mount in the lead over two furlongs out and held off the fast finishing Blue Charm by a head.

The all conquering Richard Fahey stable had a winner on Thursday with Mr Optimistic (7/2) ridden by Lee Topliss to land the Join bluesq.com For £20 of Free Bets Handicap and the feature race of the day, the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes went to Rent Free (11/4) for trainer Nigel Tinkler and jockey J-P Guillambert.

The opening day of the fixture saw a very impressive performance from Geoff Harker's Ykikamoocoo (4/1) in the Atlas Communications Fillies Handicap. Silvestre de Sousa always had his mount handy and was never in any danger of losing.

Ayr specialist Jim Goldie didn't let his supporters down saddling Monel (14/1) to win the Chamber Health Plan Handicap by a length and three quarters from Juarla. Danny Tudhope rode the winner to continue his recent rich vein of form.

Ayr's next meeting is on Friday June 17 and Saturday June 18 , the Saints and Sinners Racenight and Scottish Sun Raceday respectively.
