On Friday night the action starts at 6.10pm with the Saints and
Sinners Apprentice Handicap over a mile and the feature race of the
evening is the Clyde Coast Contracts Handicap over seven furlongs
due off at 7.45pm.
The Saturday card carries more than £120,000 in prizemoney with
the first race the £40,000 Scottish News Of The World E.B.F. "Major
Cadeaux" Land O'Burns Fillies Stakes, a Listed Race over five
furlongs due off at 2.20 pm. One of the top races of the year at
Ayr this has thrown up some decent winners in the past and will
attract a quality field.
The Scottish Sun Handicap over a mile at 2.50pm is another
prestigious affair and there is also a good looking five furlong
sprint at 3.25pm. The first three races will all be shown live on
Channel 4.
