Entries for both days are healthy with the going described
earlier in the week by Clerk of the Course Emma Marley as 'Good,
good to soft in places'.
The in form Howard Johnson stable could well land the first race
on Friday - the Bacardi Originals Maiden Hurdle at 2.10pm with
Rupert Lamb, the mount of Brian Hughes. And another trainer at the
top of her game, Lucinda Russell should go close with Bear Dancing
in the Corona Beginners Chase at 2.45pm.
Friday's feature race, the £8000 John Smith's Handicap Chase
could go the way of Lampion du Bost, owned by Billy Dodds, Trained
by Jim Goldie and due to be ridden by Graham Lee.
Saturday's racing is due off at 2.20pm and look for a big run
from Locked Inthepocket in the Handicap chase at 4.00pm. The
Pauline Robson trained horse won at Ayr last month and could be
hard to peg back if getting an easy lead.
Another horse looking for a quick course double is And The Man
in the Abbott Risk Consulting Handicap Hurdle at 4.30pm for trainer
Nicky Richards.
