The card features seven races with more than £120,000 in
prizemoney up for grabs and some of the leading trainers and
jockeys will head to Ayr in search of a share of the spoils.
The action comes under starter's orders at 2.20 pm with the
opening race the Scottish News Of The World E.B.F. "Major Cadeaux"
Land O'Burns Fillies' Stakes over five furlongs. Next up is the
Scottish Sun Handicap over a mile followed by the Scottish Sun Miss
Scotland Handicap, a five furlong sprint.
Clerk of the Course Emma Marley reports the going as soft, good
to soft in places.
A crowd of around 6000 is expected at the track which last night
hosted the annual Saints and Sinners Racenight in front of
6300 racegoers.
