The Saw Doctors, Ireland's top folk rock band are returning to
Ayr Racecourse for a record fifth time in April.
The five piece band will play in the Ayrshire Suite after racing
on Friday April 15, the opening day of the Coral Scottish Grand
National Festival. Entrance to the gig will be by race ticket
only.
The Saw Doctors first appeared at the course back in 2007
alongside Deacon Blue at the first ever Rock At The Racecourse. The
following year they appeared on Coral Scottish Grand National
Friday to mark the opening of the Ayrshire Suite and have appeared
at the venue every year since.
Last year saw the band release a new studio album 'The Further
Adventures Of The Saw Doctors' and they will be touring the USA
prior to playing Ayr in April to promote the album.
Iain Ferguson, PR at Ayr Racecourse, said : "April's Coral
Scottish Grand National Friday has become synonymous with The Saw
Doctors. This year they will be just back from the States and are
kicking off a mini British tour from here.
"The interaction they have with the crowd is truly special and
we are delighted they are returning to the Ayrshire Suite once
again."
