The first of seven races, the Victor Chandler Casino Mares
Novices Hurdle is due off at 1.40 pm and the feature race is the
Play Poker At Victorchandler.com Handicap Chase over three miles
one furlong at 3.50 pm.
The final race of the afternoon is the Victor Chandler Standard
Open National Hunt Flat Race at 4.55 pm.
Meanwhile the January Jumps Raceday at Ayr on Monday saw doubles
from jockeys Brian Harding and Ryan Mania and some quality
performances from improving horses.
The opening race, the Bet Live At victorchandler.com Novices Hurdle
saw an impressive display from the Willie Amos trained Drana who
scored by two and a quarter lengths for Campbell Gillies and will
now be aimed at a hurdle race at the National meeting at Aintree in
April.
The ante post favourite for the Grand National, Ballabriggs warmed
up with an easy five length win over hurdles in the second race on
the card. The 11/10 fav will now return to chasing with one run
before his date with destiny at Aintree.
Brian Harding's double came in quick succession on Premier Sagas
(5/4 fav) for Nicky Richards in the novices chase and Festival King
(11/2) for Pauline Robson in the two mile five furlongs handicap
chase.
Ryan Mania's brace were Quicuyo (11/2) in the two mile handicap
chase and Teenage Idol in the two mile handicap hurdle for trainers
James Ewart and Evelyn Slack respectively.
