Western House Hotel in Ayr, was built in 1920 within the grounds of the prestigious Ayr Racecourse. It was the headquarters of the Western Meeting Club and has been the home of the Scottish Grand National, Ayr Gold Cup Festival and the Scottish Derby for many years. With 31 fixtures during 2006, the racecourse has repeatedly been awarded the title of Racecourse of the Year in the North East of England and Scotland, by the Racegoers Club

The Western House was restored and refurbished in 2005 by award winning designers, Thompson Mcleod Design of Glasgow, and has a stunning interior and surrounding grounds. The gardens of our hotel in Ayr have been extensively landscaped and include a Victorian water garden feature and a bandstand.
